Referred Pain - A Collection of Poems

In the modern world's day-to-days, where people feel mind-numbingly social online and gutwrenchingly disconnected from each other off of the internet, this book– Referred Pain, hopes to prop itself up as a source of acknowledgment and a positive nudge for people in the throes of dealing with mental challenges and sensitive, emotional issues, and more so, doing it solitarily. The poet wants to say an honest – "I hear you" and an encouraging – "You've come this far; you'll surely make it" through this book. He hopes this collection of poems helps set healing in motion for those who bravely wear their broken hearts on their sleeves and those who value good advice.

The poet has experimented with how one narrates stories through poetry using beats, stanzas, prose, and more. However, a common thread between all his poetry is an explorative idea in an attempt to understand, acknowledge, and encourage talking about mental health and emotional well-being.

The Indomitable Heart

Are there any rules to falling in love? Are there any definitions that aren't transcended by the feeling of being in it? How does society perceive the act of love that goes against other socioreligious norms and socioeconomic classes? How does one comprehend the concept of pulling together and bravely moving on after love ends? In The Indomitable Heart, Himayath Khan takes you, the reader, and Arhan, the character, together on a tumultuous journey of understanding love in India in the 90s, navigating through the many nuanced lanes of relationships and underlying meanings to spoken words when they come up against a simple-minded, easy-go-lucky young man who wants to live floating on a dream cloud without the added responsibilities of life that come after declaring 'I love you.'

The Indomitable Heart by Himayath Khan is episodic and free to read online. After the season ends, a compilation in PDF form can be downloaded.

An Anthology of thought-provoking Short Stories

Ordinary folks doing extraordinary things under unprecedented circumstances. Some win, while others leave stories behind that linger in your mind. Sometimes, we swipe away at posts that may feel disturbing. In hindsight, it's not because they bothered us but because they made us dwell on the image or what's written under it. They made us question our conscience. Much like that, this anthology promises to gently nudge and engage the caring thinker in you long after you've finished reading it.
